To Eastern Mind: I'm not normally someone who pays
attention to guys' legs (lol), but what struck me night
after night at the Fillmore is how Jimmy's calves resembled Popeye's. They're humongous! You have to be in
*really* good shape to be a drummer... |

Phil, you're an amazing drummer! Wow! I'm going to look
you up on YouTube ASAP....
...But David, can you explain to me how this qualifies
as a **cover song**?!? It's NOT a cover version (anymore than the women who sings over the Zeitgeist track is) If Phil were drumming to anything but the actual offcial studio released version by the Smashing Pumpkins (which is audible throughout) or *just* drums, I might say, "OK, great..." I'm not trying to rain on
anybody's parade, but this just doesn't seem like a cover
version, which I thought was the whole point of the contest. The good news, Phil, is that you're in the lead
by a substantial margin :)

Simply gorgeous. It retains the emotional depth of Billy's songwriting and singing, isn't a carbon copy of the original yet doesn't stray too far outside Pumpkinland. This is my favorite one so far. Well done! |
| Contest Entry - Zeitgeist (Event Of The Year) |
I've never envisioned "Zeitgeist" being so, um, upbeat but you've
done a really nice job with your interpretation :) |

Terrible "production", but you do have a sweet voice.
I think "dude" is gender non-specific these days. |

Nice job... sounds a little like latter-day R.E.M. |
