i pre-ordered the album with the book off of bestbuy.com and pre-ordered the tarantula single off of cduniverse.com because it's just easier for me to do that then try and find it somewhere in this lame idaho college town that i'm currently in. to me, there is NOTHING better than the real deal. |

back in the day, i think it was at eric agnew's site, there was a list of "secrets" in pumpkins songs. i can't find it now and the list i printed off is back home so i don't have it here with me at school or i'd write it up on here for all of you.
the thing on spaceboy says this, "Now it's, uh, kind of strange, and, uh, kinda hard for me to talk about, but I thought maybe you could help- um, when we start getting physical, rather than having intercourse, he ends up just masturbating himself, and I end up feeling very alienated and unsatisfied, and it's really come between us-" (thanks to spfc.org). i always heard that it was a radio convo that came through billy's amp while he was recording one day and just decided to leave it.
and lastly. i don't mean to be mean but just so you know, HeavyMetalMachine, billy's b-day is March 17th. but adding 12 years to the date that's some good stuff there! |

yes, i know that some believe kurt's death was murder; i'm not quite sure where i stand on the issue. with that in mind though, it is interesting to read the note (that some say courtney wrote) and the relationship that courtney and billy have/had.
"here is no why" is a great song. yeah, you can think that about kurt but i always felt that the song was billy's being very candid with himself. |

yeah, from all of what i've read, kurt pretty much hated billy. back when billy was writing somewhat of his life story on billycorgan.com he wrote about the day he found out about kurt's suicide; very touching. i actually got the idea that "bwbw" was a tribute to kurt cobain in an article that i read somewhere in like people magazine or time or something like that. anyway, i didn't know about billy writing the song as a last hoorah for grunge, thats cool. i did actually email this to billy once; never heard back... |

why would james come back!? and why would billy want him back!? james is the one who broke up the band. personally, i hate james now. i used to think he was one of the best quitarists out there (ok i still do kinda). when he recorded his solo album all the critics were surprised that it was so mellow and james responded with, "sometimes you get tired of playing through a stack of marshalls all the time." then he leaves the pumpkins a few years later to go and play with a perfect circle. dude james, way to be lame... |
