Hi there all, been a longtime Pumpkins fan that has mainly lurked around the various boards for years now, but with the band getting back together and finally getting an iPod I have become re-obsessed (is that a word) and am looking for what YOU people would say is the best/definitive live recording of the following three songs:

X.Y.U.
Thru The Eyes of Ruby
Porcelina of the Vast Oceans

Any and all help would be much appreciated, I'm trying to put together my own MCIS live discs...

The X.Y.U. from 2000-01-07 in denmark is just class, the improv of lyrics is genius.

Especially the lines involving 'i got a spider tattoo'

somebody(i think it was teej? i dont remember) made a live version of each album awhile back, he could probably hook you up with anything you needed

my favourite live version of XYU is were billy starts singing bits of "nener say never" in it, you know "i might like you better if we slept together" it fits in with the song perfectly, sorry but im not sure when that was, i have it somewere, iff i find it ill let you know, or maybe someone else could help you

This threadisn't confusing at all, RBD's responce was posted, it just screwed up somehow and out it inside the quotation, he said that that version of X.Y.U. makes him a little hard down there, and I mean, that's totally cool, we're cool with that right?

It's not a confusing topic, but it is off topic.

Ok so you all were right, that performance in Sweden of X.Y.U. is something else! How bout the performances of X.Y.U. at the Bridge School shows in Oct. '97, is one better than the other? Does Manson sing on one of them?

The best live XYU's are definently in the machina era, i love the way billy improv's and makes up a story. 2000-01-07 and 2000-02-06c are corkers. 2000-01-07 is on rspaa and i'm sharing on the site 2000-02-06c
