Anyone want to post an alternate Machina II? I had what I think was a good tracklist but my iPOD fucked up and it just went to shit.

I think a lot of the songs on Machina II (SPEED KILLS, Cas Car Star, Vanity, Dross) would have been great songs if included on Machina I.

Wasn't Speed Kills included on the British release of MACHINA/the machines of God? I wish I lived in Europe...

It's kind of hard to do a tracklist for MACHINA II, since none of the songs, in my opinion, feel like they could be a definite closer for the album. There are also many songs that seem to have the same, bitter emotional feel to them (Glass' Theme, Dross, Lucky 13, Soul Power), and while I like those songs very much, there isn't much variety among them.
I think Slow Dawn would remain as a good opener, with Vanity following it nicely. The calmer songs, like Go, Innosense, and Home might fit towards the end as the album is winding down. Speed Kills, as a tragic song, would also go nicely somewhere at the end. But in regards to the middle, I have no clue how to go about mixing around the order of the songs.
I think I like it best just the way it is. Because it doesn't require me to think about this stuff. My brain doesn't like extraneous exercise. It's a fatty, and it's going to die of heart disease one day. Just kidding! It's going to be cancer.

i actually didnt like machina 2 at all, it was too wierd and out there, i still liked it becuase it was the pumpkins and i would like anything that the pumpkin did/do. But if it was made by anouther band i would not like it.

Its not as refined as other SP albums but I think thats what I like about it. Its more raw emotion coming through. The alternate version of Try, Try, Try is cool. Dross and Cash Car Star are my favorites off of that album.

It just feels rushed to me.

how can machina 2 feel rushed to you?i dont understand..machina 1 was way too overproduced and took way too long to complete.

maybe not "rushed", but the production isn't as good as the other albums (obviously)

Actually, please ignore all my previous statements regarding machina 2, i listened to it again after reading this discussion and love it, Glass theme and Cash car star are fantastic.
