DJ Tees has an advertisement that appears on this page from time to time. It says they sell "T-Shirts That Rock" but as I was sifting throught the countless lists of 70's, 80's, and 90's rock band's memorabilia I was upset to find NO Smashing Pumpkins merchandise there. Not even a Zero T. I just wanted to draw some attention to this gross injustice!

That's unacceptable!

At least the Zero T-Shirt should be among the "T-Shirts that Rock"!

I have three Smashing Pumpkins shirts, one zero tank top, one large zero T-shirt hand-me-down that I use as a night shirt, and one that came out after Machina, where the four of them are under a tree circa Gish.
Now that I think about it, I haven't seen that last one for a while, it must be in the Mountain of Laundry which you must be careful doesn't topple over and squish you! I'll have to excavate.
Has anyone ever seen the "Smashing Cookies" t-shirt? It was a Sesame Street spoof shirt with cookie monster, I remember seeing it on ebay once.
But don't worry, they're probably just getting ready for the new Smashing Pumpkins shirts!

Still....they have a "Greatest bands of the 90's" section and not one Pumpkins T?

thats the same with my alt music shop! they have nirvana, nightwish, sonic youth x100000, jimmi hendrix, led zeppelin, placebo ect BUT NO SMASHING PUMPKINS SHIRTS!!
i was in melbourne a few days ago and i bought a ZERO shirt, earphoria, the disarm single!!! and the BWBW single. i was so happy- if i couldnt buy them in my home town, my money would go elsewhere!

You know, like 8 years ago, I really liked shopping at Hot Topic, but now they seem so mainstream and into emo I rarely go in there anymore. Its just not cool any more I guess.
I think SP gets underated a lot as being one of the best (well the BEST, IMO) bands of the 90ties.

I agree, but in a way, isn't that befitting of their anti-hero attitude?
They didn't want to be main stream, they wanted their own thing. So now the main stream commercial shirt-selling establishment (whatever it is) can make money off other bands, but Not the Pumpkins!
'Cause the Pumpkins were and are truer in their hearts.
In fact, they gave us their hearts on their sleeves (Zero shirt) and that's all we should need.

hmm im sure there was a placebo shirt- i swear they have everything EVER made by placebo in that shop.
whenever i ask where all the pumpkins CDs are (because under 'the smashing pumpkins' section the CDs are non existant- ALWAYS) they say that they are sold out and will order some in soon- i guess the pumpkins are that legendary that their CDs arent in the shops for more than a week! haha

Actually, I think Billy has said that he wanted the Pumpkins to be a "big band" because it's more exciting. This is why the pumpkins survived unlike Nirvana - which imploded due to their success and Pearl Jam decided to go underground almost rather than remain in the MTV limelight. I think that people can mistake wanting to be a "big band" with bands that sell-out. Billy wants to make HIS music but he wants everyone in the world to hear it - which is far from selling out.
