Who should the new pumpkins bassist be?

I think MADM is better, but having Dacy would bring the whole "original" atmosphere, either way it would be great.

he said that his guitar skills are almost as good as he could get them, so why not try and play both at once

billy can play bass,but dont hold your breath about that,he will stick to singing and playing co lead guitar with his fender strat,MELISSA would be the best move..

I agree that Billy should focus on singing and lead guitar. Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should. And anyways Sp really needs a bassist I think just because.....

MADM would be best choice for me, although I like where she's going with her solo stuff I think that Pumpkins takes priority, sorry Melissa!

Hahaha, i was only joking about billy on bass. He is much better at guitar/voice. yeah i think that MADM would be the logical choice, simply because "obi wan kenobi would have a better chance of playing" . i like that quote.

I heard from a friend that D'Arcy is in contact with Billy, annd wants to join the band. :P Don't believe him though. He could have heard wrong. And yes, sadly, D'Arcy was on drugs.

last i heard from a direct comment by billy corgan "d'arcy lives on her farm"-b.c.but besides that if she is still using billy wont dare bring her on board,m.a.d.m. is my pick

Though Melissa is more technically skilled than D'arcy, I'd still prefer that D'arcy come back for the reunion. To me, it won't be a reunion unless all four members are involved. I suppose that if D'arcy really is unavailable, then MADM would work. But I find her bass playing to be somewhat aggressive and guitar-like. D'arcy always had a softness to her playing. It's almost as if she slipped across the music rather than stormed her way through it.

But that's just me. 8)

Well if D'Arcy is clean and is prepared to commit fully to the new SP album then I wouldn't mind so much but if she is gonna be lazy and off doing drugs then she certainly doesn't need to be there.
If Melissa and/or Eric Avery can pout 110% forth then they would be my choice.

Im surprised u dont know this but The bassist from Janes Addiction is gonna work with them on their new album. But i would want to have Darcy, she was on of the originals. come on.
