Well, them sucking is all a matter of pereference. And it seems a lot of people didn't like Zwan or TFE. MSOTS and TFE with me, were wonderful albums! I devoured them! I loved them so much, and do. I guess, even if it sucks, I'm going to like it, because it's the Smashing Pumpkins!!!

Agreed, I'll at least love it because it's got Billy, Jimmy and it's new, also if it has Melissa and/or James I'll have to Love it!

Even if it is just Jimmy & Billy, itll still be awesome, they make a great team.

i want the smashing pumpkins to make good music, and could not care less about mainstream popularity. what i see happening, realistically, is that they might have a video play on mtv2 every now and then, but will mainly be supported by a more underground following, kind of like the flaming lips and sonic youth. and of course they will headline the major alt festivals, lollapalooza, bonaroo, coachella etc.

It probably won't do well commercially, because Billy has such a bad public reputation, which will unfortunately cloud over any musical genius he manages to pull off.
However, I have a strong feeling it will RAWK (and if it does, perhaps that will help boost his reputation again).

when it comes out we will know until then we all must wait in see what billy has in store!!!

I must agree that i really don't care how well it does in terms of record sales (and honestly i don't think Billy will care too much either as money has never seemed like an important motivation for the man). I'm just hoping for a good, strong (both lyrically and muscially) album.

I am thinking it will do bad commercially simpy because of the current musical climate, all this rap, rnb, hip hop and other garbage nonsense seems to be the thing of the moment. The world is ready for a musical revolution however, and the pumpkins could do that!!! how cool would that be!!!

I will like it no matter how crap it is simply because of my devotion to them. It really wouldnt matter for me, it would just be great to hear billy on stage again (not that i have seen them live... )

i think the new album wont do any good unless billy wants it too. hes very good at making super pop songs like bullet. i dont think he will do that. but the pumpkin fans are alot so probly do alright but not great. i know theyre concerts will be sold out though because people want to see them live even if they dont really like them. so its for us really. and that makes me happy

yes, i agree, it could be good if billy wants it to. He is either doing this to please us fans, or just doing it because he is just bored and wanted to do something interesting, or he could possibly trying to "fight the good fight against the Briteny's"
