That's one of my worst fears for SP2, that they'll be labeled as an emo band. And that the new, causal listeners will... I don't know what they'll do, but I still don't like them.

isn't that what happened to the Cure?
they had a huge underground fan base for a long time...and then one hit single, and everybody and their brother thought they were hardcore cure fans
I'm listening to The Cure now, the Three Imaginary Boys remaster. I'm a relatively new Cure fan, and eventually I want to get all of the remasters. Right now I only have Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me, The Head on The Door, and like I said before, Three Imaginary Boys. As for non-remasters, I have the Greatest Hits and Disintegration (my favorite Cure album).

Hmm, I'm listening to The Cure right now too (Pornography). Disintegration and Bloodflowers are my favourites.

The Cure is one of my favorite bands. Maybe only just 2 or 3 places below the Pumpkins. But only during the 80's. I can't stand anything they've done after Disintegration.
The Cure seems to be a lot of "hit and miss" for me. Some songs don't work good, but the ones that do are really, really special.

I didn't think SP had any "casual listeners." 
Anyway, I've never been dissatisfied with anything that the Pumpkins did, and I'm pretty picky. I'm sure the tour will be awesome. |
