How's it going?

hey everyone! how's it goin!?

Im new to this site, and i think this site is new, because yesterday these short animations were elsewhere. Anyway, ill be sure to notify all my other pumpkin fans about this wonderful site that i hope gets filled to the brink with other pumpkin fans like me. I love what the site admin has done with the place, and i love those hilarious Billy clips (no harm done billy!). Anyway as long as i got your attention, i mise well tell ya how i came to be interested in the pumpkins. Im a newbie actully, i came across the pumpkins just last year. You see, i was working on my own musical projects and i needed a new direction then punk rock.... it was getting too basic. I wasnt quite sure what i was searching for, but after hearing some Nirvana, i decided to check out grunge. the pumpkins didnt come along until i was searching through my father's cd collection one day and accidently dropped "mellon collie". I picked it back up and decided to give it a whirl. I was intantly won over by the self titled piano solo in the beginning, and then after hearing jelly belly, i knew i had finnally found a band that i really truely enjoyed! Over the next few months i researched the pumpkins and obtained all of their cds (thanks to a close friend's dad who is also obsessed with the pumpkins), and i quickly fell in love with everything they have done. Everyone in the sophmore class of ohio is into rap and pop and emo metal and stuff... while i am into the pumpkins! and its ok with me because they can keep their music.... the pumpkins are working out just fine for me. Anyway, not to be cocky, but after a year of straight research (and a lot of dollers and time well spent) id like to say that i know enough to hold decent conversations with you pumpkin veterains (even though sadly ive never been to a concert!, but maybe that will change one day!?

Hi Andy. Thanks for joining. I discovered The Pumpkins in a similar way. The first album I heard was Mellon Collie and I really liked it, but it wasn't until a few years later that I got into early 90s/grunge music and became a full-fledged Pumpkins fan.

Hello there. I am fine, thanks. It's good to see a decent site arise on the Smashing Pumpkins and Billy Corgan. What I like about this forum, in comparison to Netphoria, is the white layout. Maybe it will bring forward more 'friendly' discussions...

Hi! This website looks really great so I added it to my Safari-bookmarks immediately! I'm a fan of the pumpkins since 2000. Somewhere that year I bought Adore but it took a while before I got used to it. When I bought Mellon Collie in august 2000, I really fell in love with the music. Unfortulately I never saw them live, but I did see Zwan and JCC, which was truly great. Well, maybe my wish will come true anyway!

yeah, everyone's talking about netphoria around here.... i never really got into that site for some reason, the only real pumpkin sites ive explored to the max would be this older smashing pumpkins fan site that used to be around but recently closed, RSPAA, and the billy site with his journals (god i used to read those all day long in study halls in school),

yeah agreed there... i just love how this one is set up though, plus its brand spankin new!

Excellent site Murder my friend. The layout is very cool. I like all the fresh and unusual inclusions. And being new, it might not attract all the Jaded Pumpkin fans. You know, the ones who just endlessly bitch about Billy and hang sh*t on anyone who wasn't toilet trained listening to Gish (or pre Gish for the real assh*les).
The spell ckeck is an inspired move.
