I now call oll those lame wannabe rock bands like simple plan, h.i.m, panic and my chemical romance "Pre teen girl bands" :P and I like it. The Bad thing is at my school all my friends like those bands and I just want to hit them when their saying things like "Omg, how goods the new my chem album!" Just makes me shudder, but theres a few pumpkins fans there at least.


That's at my school as well. There's a couple of kids that like them but there's this one guy who is the biggest poser ever! I have the Zero shirt and the FaEoMM T-shirts and this guy has the Zero one. So the one day I ask him,
" you like the pumpkins? cool. What's your favorite album?"
"Mellon Collie." he replied.
and I though OK, that's cool he's not a complete poser.
So one day we both war our zero shirts the same day, and he goes around school and starts telling people that I'm a poser. So when I asked him about it he was making all these conversations up about "how I don't even know what album 1979's off of." So I decide to quiz him. I gave him a lower difficulty level to start. I  ask him to name all the pumpkins studio albums in chronological order. He says,

"Melon Collie, Adore, and Siamese Dream."
I politely corrected him and in doing so, I embarrassed him in front of our math class.
I'm pretty sure he was just trying to be cool by wearing that shirt because there's so few SP fans in my school. But other thatn that shirt, he wears all shady and g-unit clothes.... It sickens me..
Stupid high school drama...

i dont wear band merch, i think its kind of stupid, like kids in heat for someone else who likes the band

people all like the smashing pumpkins casually, theyre not that underground, you know, around here anyways

you shouldnt bag on someones taste in music though, its their choice, to each their own

I dabble in techno, it's not something I love but the odd song I can love, I just don't like it when people bash different kinds of music to their own tastes.
Recently I've found a place in my heart for rap, techno, a lot of stuff I didn't think I would like before.

Ugh, that disgusts me on so many levels. Image-obsessed teenagers, and as you said, "stupid high school drama..."

Just wait until you get to college, it's SO much better. It still has its share of annoying people, but people are generally much more mature.

on a different note, anyone heard the new incubus album, what do you think? i thinks its a fresh new direction for them, not quiet as good as Make Yourself or Morning View, but i realy like it.

You know what bothers me most of all? you here those Panic! and MCR songs so much on the radio and tv in my country (Belgium) that you start to actually like them and sing along to them... I hate it!! I hate those bands and their fake fuckin' music, I don't want to like them, but the more I hear them, the harder it gets to ignore them...

I think you kinda missed the point there bud... He was wearing the shirt as a fashion statement, not because he actually like the pumpkins. I live in Alberta, Canada. Besides the the cities, there are no people who aren't closed minded hicks(except for me of course). I learned yesterday that he didn't even have melon collie. Also he's the one who haze me fist too. And you can't tell me that the rap he listens to has any good output to society.
