Not the album cover (sorry to disappoint)

I was wondering what are some songs that you would like to hear the pumpkins cover and why?

The logical song by supertramp would be cool...that song is so unique I think the pumpkins could do something really awesome with it to bring it back to the mainstream.
The killing moon- Echo and the bunnymen. ...I can just hear billys voice on the softer side pumpkining it up.

Hmm, that's a good question. I know it's technically not a cover, but it would be interesting to hear Billy sing live of a rendition of "Identify". Although, despite not being a fan of Natalie Imbruglia, I do think she fit well as a vocalist for that song on Stigmata.

Perhaps a newer song by New Order or Depeche Mode, like "Vicious Streak" from New Order's Get Ready album, "Waiting for the Sirens Call", from the album of the same name; A cover of Depeche Mode's "Precious" would be cool, would be interesting to see what they would do with it. Although I suppose all those songs are a bit to 'new' for SP to cover.

Actually I think SP would work magic with some of this new crap.

they should cover some of billy's solo stuff, put some crowd pleasing rock into it, thatd be cool

haha. In all seriousness though, I think we should stick to talking about the positives, negatives, and intracies of SP, or other bands that we enjoy, rather than using Panic! At the Disco and others as punching bags. Because considering we have a relatively unified opinion about bands like them, it's preaching to the choir.

I would like to hear them cover "Shadowplay" by Joy Division or "Crystal" by New Order

"Sunshine of Your Love" by Cream

"Tom Violence" by Sonic Youth

"Colony" by Joy Division

Not to say that these artists haven't already done a perfect job with their songs. But Billy's rendition of them would probably be effin' awesome.

A friend of mine was actually excited to go to a concert of theirs...that just utterly disgusts me.

I really wonder if political affiliation has something to do with any appreciation for that band...or rather, record company mock-up.

yea my friend was going to one too. and she was fraking out she was so excited. i respect her opinion. but panic just SUCKS!

i think it would be cool to hear them play BYOB by system of a down.

like pugman said, it would be cool to hear billy scream it out. especially at the start when he goes,
