Panic should never be allowed to cover another song since the "This Is Halloween" debacle. At least Marilyn Manson did it with the voices.

"Slave to the Wage" would be awesome... although Placebo's style is somewhat different from the Pumpkins' style. I can't imagine Billy singing "Hang on to your IQ", for example.

wow, i'm sorry if i piss anyone off here, it's not my aim. but, for one, the foo fighters JUST did darling nikki, why would another popular '90's alt-rock band do the same? two, placebo openly rip off the pumpkins' style. the only real difference is that the pumpkins don't suck.
additionally, i WOULD say that thank god, billy has better taste than that, but may i guide you to the latest issue of rolling stone? inside, you'll find an interview with my chemical romance dude, you know, the one who steals billy's moves so much that bily jokes about it? apparantly, billy asked to be on the guest list to their show. maybe to be curteous and apologize for his comments about them, kind of like i might have to do if anyone takes offense to my distaste for placebo. don't get me wrong! i enjoy placebo now and then, i just think billy knows to look upwards when choosing a band to cover, not below him.

I think it would be okay if he did the SD voice, or perhaps Loki Cat style. *Shrugs.*

Otherwise, you're prolly right. If he did that voice-breaking whine like he does, it'd totally ruin the song. He'd have to sing it smooth and quiet like it's supposed to be.
