I don't really know that much about Billy Corgan's personal life aside from what I see in interviews documentaries etc. What happened that made Billy all....Christian and stuff in 2000 or 2001 or whenever it was? No one really brings it up. Is there some sad tale behind it? Personally I like atheism better.

That was a sweet passage. And I must agree with Billy: some of his song lyrics have had a positive influence on my life, and have helped me through some difficult times. I don't know about to the extreme of suicide, but some of his songs, I listen to and i'm just like "wow, I'm not the only one who feels this way."

It's because conservative religeous pricks who hate gays are the only christians that get attention from being so conservative.

It will be interesting to see if his new incarnation of the Pumpkins will have a different feel to it. I think it will still have that kind of tragic sadness to it (judging by that seven questions video). But i dunno.

theres no way a a person like billy corgan can live without some kind of religion, i didnt know people thought he hadnt been a praying person

The article still doesn't quite explain it to me. I like the last section about the letters that's amazing!
Although he is my all-time biggest hero for his perfectionism and wisdom, I'm just a little ashamed of Billy for being a Christian, because he was smart enough to break away from it in the beggining. I think Christianity is ignorance. At least he doesn't live by the Bible. He said he didn't in the "7 Questions" thing. It is nice to see Billy more positive though!

I think that more than anything, people can sometimes allow themselves to be chained to something.
It can be religion, it can be a job that they hate, it can be a person they love who doesn't love them back.
The important thing to remember is that it's not the things that control us, it is ourselves.
I myself am a Catholic, but that didn't stop me from marrying a Jew. And the interesting thing to me is the people who know you and love you never say anything bad when you do something unexpected. It's the total strangers who butt in with their hurtful opinions.
