i was at brookstones and they have travel guides so i went to chicago, and the i went to entertainment section an foun d the metro. under it said, home to the smashing pumpkins reunion concert!!! could this be true????

positive it was reunion tour, i read it over and over, i was so surprised, and i didnt buy it, i was just at the airport waiting for my flight and i sed hey, waht the hell so i looked thru it.

Well, that might be just speculation. But I really hope the first concert is at Metro, it's only fitting, and hopefully on day where my brother and I could fly down from Toronto to see it. I was really hoping the first concert would be at Metro on July 7th (Pumpkins day) but that's not happening, since we now know that there are shows in Germany in June. That doesn't preclude shows happening elsewhere around the world before then of course.

PQ said the first shows will be in Europe, so I don't think the first one will be at the Metro (though it would make much more sense).

I seem to recall her partially retracting that soon after though, probably after talking to the band. I remember her saying something about the tour dates not being confirmed and plans may change.

Billy might want to do a show at the Metro for his birthday!!

Seriously - they have tried hard to keep the metro first in their hearts thoughout all these years...even with zwan - I definitely don't see them just throwing away legacy and doing their first show in another country...I think that with festivals you have to commit early especially when u are headlining so those may be the first offifial gigs we hear about but it doesn't mean they will be the first gigs they do. Who starts a tour without doing a few warm-up shows anyway? Billy always does some small gigs especially to introduce new material and see what works. I'm going on on but my point is....look for the Pumpkins to do the Metro FIRST
