You got scammed. Why were you trying to buy Machina II? It was never released on CD. Any CDs you find are sourced from the vinyls or MP3s.

There is only one real design for it which is the scans made of each orginial packaging for the LPs. The others available on eBay are simply a design made by someone who knows Photoshop and has accesss to high quality printing.

It's a bunch of band demos distributed by Billy on the internet in 2000 and then burned on a cd-r by this guy.

ive got a copy of "machina II" that my bf gave to me its 2 disks so would it have been sourced from vinyl (i think he said it was theyre were only a few werent there?) or is it demos? i thought that thats what machina II basically was??? so confused.....by the way the cover artwork looks really fucking stupid. what are those little ghosts?? not very pumpkinsy at all lol

I know that Q101 were given Machina II and that at the final show at the metro they were just handing high quality cd copies out for free to whoever went. The artowrk is on this site I think, like you can see Q101 in the corner or something like that.

I emailed them about it but they recently sold their copy on ebay.

Machina 2 is the proper album and Friends and Enemies of Modern Music is a sort of B-side disc with some alternate versions of other songs. It was never released on CD officially. You can download it for free, but you can aso buy it off ebay where someones made a decent cover for it. Its much nicer than just a plain disc or some computer files; so your paying for the presentation, not the music. The quality is never amazing, but the songs are still really good.
