Alabaster 1 Year, 9 Months ago
I have a live version of this song (alabaster), i have no idea if its a cover, an original or when it was played.

Was there a studio demo, or even a better quality live recording, because mine is pretty poor, but it sounds like a good song, i would like to get my hands on a better recording. Any information would be great.

The version you have is the only one that has surfaced. (I think) Played 04/30/1989. It's an original.

I also stumbled over Alabaster somewhere in the worldwideweb!!!
I wonder why Billy never recorded a studioversion within his reeltime sesions, the song is pretty good!

There's some show in like 1990, and someone is like "Play Alabaster!"

Billy replied: "We don't take requests."

There are some really crappy versions out there. The first time i heard Alabaster 5-6 years ago was 24kps and about 1.1mb and it was still cool.

I've got much better versions, a lot more audible and clean. Cracking song, very unlike SP

"Alabaster" was a hella good song...they might've recorded it if Jimmy didn't show up for the damn live-only to studio recording sessions! Dammit, that really ruined everything, especially since Billy had payed $1750.00 for that sessions. Oh well, at least we got "Fat Man Blues" and "Vanilla" out of it which were damn good songs. I'm also glad they recorded "Waiting For You Now" as an acoustic track.
