Maybe it's just me. But if James and D'arcy are not in the band, it is not a true reunion, right?
I can't see how Billy could play Soma, or Mayonaise, or any of the other songs without James' spacey guitar. I mean I know he 'can' but it just won't be the same. And while yes there are many talented bass players too, without D'arcy it wouldn't be the same either.
Not that I am not looking forward to any lineup Billy has in mind, but as far as reunion, without the original members, its not truly a reunion.

Remember, Billy has never called it a reunion.

What were those "Chicago songs" he was talking about, the album he'll release as a video DVD or something like that?

Even if Billy was to call it a reunion I'd still support the hell out of it like I'm doing/going to do now.

The whole James/D'Arcy thing is so redundant by now. I just want to skip the next 3 months!

I'm not actually gonna say anything until I find out the actual line up of the new SP. I wonder if it will be anyone famous?

VH1 did have a show called Bands Reunited that SP would be perfect for.

vh1 show yeah i saw it funny stuff we tracked down darcy wretzy now residing on her michigan farm favourite hobbies cocaine, look here we found guitarist james iha in new york city enjoying his role as a drunken disc jockey, he's also fond on the little ladies ,so it looks like are bands reunited show will just feature billy corgan and jimmy chamberlin but to be serious no reunion just billy and jimmy awesome

Drunken Disc Jockey...then it wouldn't be so much of a stretch to drunken rock star. I am laughing out loud. Everyone acts like because Darcy is on cocaine she cant play bass - WELL let me reveal a secret...most people in rock music are drinkers and some do take drugs (If not most) Thats where the phrase "Sex Drugs and Rock n Roll" comes from. Even Jimmy was on drugs most (if not all) of those years leading up to MCIS...so whats the big deal? Let Darcy do cocaine and let James get drunk...as long as they are together, thats all that matters.

you can find at least one of the Chicago songs on youtube: "The World's Fair". here's the link: I don't know if the "Church Sessions" are part of the Chicago songs compilation...

I don't honestly think that saying "renew and revive" is an effective way to skirt questions about a reunion. Billy knows damn well that that's what people would be most receptive to, and that bringing everyone back into the band again is probably the only way for them to really be successful again. Besides, how can anyone claim to "renew and revive" something if when you do, it's not intact?
