Hey, I just watched Borat and was kind of curious about the fat side kick dude that travels with him...he totally resembles the fat dude in the Stand inside your love video...I could be totally wrong but there is an uncanny resemblence.

Hey, I researched it and your are correct Starla - (good eye). I also saw Borat just recently and didn't make the connection. The actor's real name is Ken Davitian and it was difficult but I managed to find an obscure article where he talks about working on the SIYL video:

He can decide his next role - and he hasn't decided yet - but Davitian hopes he can work with the Smashing Pumpkins again. Davitian had a creepy role, playing some sort of dominatrix-like character in the Pumpkins' 2000 music video, "Stand Inside Your Love."

With the Pumpkins on the verge of getting back together, Davitian hopes frontman Billy Corgan is reading this article. "Tell them I want to do another video!"

"Billy is a type of guy that he explained all of the emotions that were going through his head that he wanted to see in this character,"
Davitian recalls.

(Rumour has it, Sharon Osbourne hated that Pumpkins video so much that it was one of the reasons she quit as the band's manager. This is the first time Davitian has heard this. "Now when I meet Sharon Osbourne, she's not going to like me!"

That's also really crazy that Shanon Osbourne was the band manager, that completely caught me off guard.

Yeh, I remember Billy talking about that on one of the bootlegs, the 99x one I think. he talks about how she didn't want them wearing dresses anymore, things like that.

sharon osbourne? thats a shock i thought she hated alternative rock, why would she have any thing to do with the pumpkins? at one point she tried to get ozzy on lolapalooza but failed then she started ozzfest in spite of it.
