my vote only in encores, and i will be hurt if they use them(more than four) in a set

why the hell would you be hurt? and why would you only want four anyway? pearl jam is the best live act in the world and they rely very heavily on their old stuff. just because a song is old doesn't mean they shouldn't play it. and also, they'll be playing some very short shows if all they play is their new stuff.

I'm really confused by this topic. What should it matter what the setlists look like for the upcoming tour? What should matter is that the music is being played at all.

jimmy has already told us that there are fifty(50) some songs in the works. assuming they play .25 of that, it is still 12 songs.

the Smashing Pumpkins were about new things, expanding and not being pinned down, and now their very fans are the ones say, "no new stuff, just play those old songs again"

you're those people that go to a solo concert and ask for whoever is playing to play something from the band they were in.

And...I will go see SP no matter what! They are my fave. band and even if I don't care for their new stuff I will still go and supoort them on tour regardless of what they decide to play. Both times I've seen SP they have played older stuff mixed in with new which IMO made the show much, better!

"Chamberlin went on to state that the Smashing Pumpkins would not be doing "a greatest hits tour [...] we're not after your money" and that the band would work on new songs to take on the road, with the possibility of an album to ensue."

I think a mix of popular, obscure and new would be nice.

i want old songs too, just i want it to be like the double door shows. two sets of new songs then a couple encores of obscure songs.
