does anyone know where to get some good info on Flood? I'm doing a research paper on him for one of my audio classes, but all i can find i the same old bio everywhere i look! i've been searching for over a week

here's a good start...but I wouldn't rely on wikipedia, as it's not a verifiable source...especially for school purposes.

It's probably best to look into the bands he's produced for. Also any documentaries (SP) that he's appeared in and also watch the 666 video if you want to see him in action.

Plus check out other bands he's produced for: Nine Inch Nails, JJ72 etc...

Also look into where he first started as an assistant engineer on New Order - The Movement back in 1981. Also working with Soft Cell, Psychic TV, Cabaret Voltaire and the Associates followed before he moved into production, helming records from Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds (The Firstborn Is Dead, Kicking Against the Pricks) and Erasure (Wonderland and The Circus).

Also look into his other alias 'Blood'.

thanks. i didn't know about the Blood alias. i've tried looking up some stuff about his work with u2, but not much came up. i guess i'll try all those other bands though

No problems. If you're looking into U2, then start with 1987 onwards.

He looks like a bum but he is pretty good in action.

Check out Depeche Mode too, he does an interview about them on their video collection dvd (i'm not sure if it's the special edition or not though)

It's a shame JJ72 split up as they were a great band, i missed seeing them twice despite having tickets for both times.

Flood produced their 2nd album and it has a real SP feel about it. JJ72 were big SP fans so it's not much of a suprise having your biggest influence with a producer who worked closely with them over the years.

JJ72?? I've never heard of them before. Are they worth checking out?

Definently, they were on the verge of a 3rd album before they split.
