Adore is probably my favorite pumpkins album, I rarely listen to it only because I want to keep it where I was during the time I listened to it everyday. I find that with their other albums I listened to them so much all the time that the songs, although awesome, dont mean as much anymore. If you play an adore song it will take me back to when I was 14 and that was a fun/weird time.

I still think it's a shame that it got so little critical and commercial success. Allthough the fact that the album is still widely available in stores everywhere, proves that it really wasn't that much of a "failure" after all.

I thought it did pretty well, songs from it come up in movies/tv shows all the time. And it sold relativly well, not as well as MCIC, it was mostly the fans that were negativly critical towards it, and on a fan site the view of the fans is all we realy get, so i gues to us it would sound like a failure

It's like some fans are reacting to everything concerning the new album, there's always some negativity. Adore was something different and that's like a capital sin for a successful band with lots of fans. Those lots of fans who hated Adore, and then loved it. Just how I think a lot of people will love Zeitgeist after hating it for a couple of years or so.

Doesn't Adore have some cultlike fanbase? To my understanding most people still don't like this album. My best friend who got me into the Pumpkins still hates it but I'm trying to get him to catch on. I personally haven't been able to stop listening to it. Just gets better each time! I'm really digging Daphne Descends as of lately.

And I also don't see how people can hate Zeitgeist when we've only been previewed SO LITTLE. Don't judge a book by it's cover. Then again I'm one of the maniac fans praising it on that same bit of little knowledge 8) As Eddie Vedder said....."if you hate something don't you do it too?"

I think he means people will probly hate it for a while then learn to love it. I could never find myself hating anything billy does, i am too blind in my faith

Adore was a beautiful album. Just right right mixutre of light, melodic tunes and heavy, distorted sequences. I must say though my two favorite songs are like night and day. Crestfallen and Pug.

Adore's my second or third favourite album ever. It only took me two or three listens to love it, and i still listen to it all the time.

Adore is my least favourite album, i wont lie, but its beautiful, i love it, just because its my least favourite doesnt mean i hate it. Im yet to hear a pumpkins song i "hate". I didnt like adore right away, it took me a very long time to see its beauty, but i simply cant get over jimmy not being there, and it that sense it will never be my favourite album. Jimmy means to much for adore to be the best. But in terms of lyrics i think its billy at his best. I think adore and machina had the best lyrics, i think iv said so before in this thread but i couldnt be bothered checking.

Adore is such a hauntingly beautiful album. I listen to it when it rains, and it brightens my day immeasurably.

Chewing Gum.....what a great tune. I understand why it was cut, does not feel at all like Adore.
