Yup, I also hear some Pink Floyd in it, but I hear it in the middle during that long instrumental. Reminds me of the 'Animals' cd that Floyd put out. Anyway, I doubt that the studio version will be 20 minutes long... I'm thinking it will be 9 or so... what do you think?


I was thinking there was some Pink Floyd in it too. I think it'll be roughly 15 minutes. I'd like to think he'd show off the idea of having a length song. The Mars Volta do it constantly.

The instrumental reminds me of Pink Floyd's Echoes.. but there is something about the hook that reminds me of Led Zeppelin.

Anyway, fucking amazing.

Yeah the first time I heard it I thought of Spiteface but after I got to know it a little better it doesn't sound that way anymore.

It blows my mind that this isn't going to be on the album. Gossamer is an awesome song. At Rock Am Ring, the guitar jam was amazing. (Or maybe it was just Uli Jon Roth who made it awesome, haha). I'm sure it'll be released sometime, though, whether via itunes single of b-side of a single or free download or whatever.

Stole the words outta my mouth. Silverfuck has been in my top 3 favs from SP. I think Gossamer just took over. I've watched the concert video (Rock am Ring) a few times and listened to the track (same live show) and it is just AMAZING. Uli Jon Roth has me mesmerized.

Uli palyed with the band Glass and the ghost childrem in Berlin .I havenīt hear but surely had been fantastic...Anyone have recorded?

They cant make a studio version of Gossamer. Its a free song that is different everytime they play it. A studio version would just restrict it and it would never be as cool as the live versions. What they should do is release an entire album called Gossamer and every track would be a different live recording of Gossamer. Whos with me????

They started playing Silverfuck back in '92 before Siamese Dream was even released. They have it on the album, but they always play the song different live. So I don't think it matters. I would love a studio version of Gossamer... it doesn't matter how they do it, becuase any way they choose will be great. They can still go on to play it live any way they want.

I was just about to say the same thing.

I just heard Gossamer live from the Rock am thingy. Really awesome. I know nothing about this song, and sorry if it's already been mentioned... I presume it's a new song as I don't recall hearing it before. I love it, and of all the new material this seems most like the Pumpkins of old.

What I wanted to know is whether there is a studio version of this? If there is then it would be a great b-side to the next single! Well, it just needs tightening up a little.
Also, are there any other live versions worth checking out?
