Look at the song man, Billy calling himself "Zero" is refering to himself as a nobody. I can elaborate if anyone wishes.

Didn't Billy once say he wears the Zero shirt to feel like a super hero? Although a zero is considered the opposite of a hero, so Billy's alter-ego may be that of an anti-hero.

Grr, i write too much. Re-write number 3.

I believe so, i know Billy had the idea for the Machina story during the MCIS period, wether the Zero alter ego was an idea for there and then, or knew he intended to carry it over and transform into Glass from the beginning we'll never know.
