With the release of the new album in a few weeks, it got me wondering how I was going to go about getting/buying this long awaited CD. I still don't know how I'm going to get my hands on this album...online or wait outside my local Target or Wal-Mart before the doors open. Personally, I think the proper way of getting this album is to just buy it traditionally than downloading it from iTunes. I'd like to wait outside in morning before the store opens and grab it on sight...(and pay for it, of course).

Anyway, sorry to digress but what will be your means to acquiring "Zeitgeist"?

i wish it was still being released on july 7 because i'm leaving on a trip july 9. i'll be in florida at a camp when it's released, and i'll have to wait until july 14 to hear it i considered skipping the trip to be able to get zeitgeist when it came out, but i had already paid. this wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't my first time with all this... i just started listening to them a couple of years ago

I'm really confused about the bonus editions. There's a DVD edition on Amazon Germany and there's the the American one that has a 75 page book.

Ill have to go with that book. Though all I really want is the album.

i plan to wait outside my f.y.e. and once they open I'll urinate on all the Zeitgeist copies to claim them as my property therefore preventing any chance of not getting a copy.

I have a unique situation for the day it comes out. You see, I am store manager of my local F.Y.E. and I am considering bringing home my copies early. I Have been a fan since I was 12 and I am now 25. Me and my co-worker are both big Pumpkins fans and we made a vow to snake home our copies the night before since I open the store on release day anyway. It is illeagal as hell and against the rules... I KNOW I can wait until the day of the release because I will be able to spread the word and sell the album as well. Plus, I am going to play the album in-store ALL day long!!!!!

Wake up really early stand outside Virgin in my pajamas with sunglasses on in the middle of the city and at nine am when they open I'll be the first one to walk in buy it.

I already have a copy, sans liners/jewel case/etc that is watermarked and cannot play in my CD-Rom drive. But I've got to help the Pumpkins conquer the Billboard charts again! So I'll peek into my local Best Buy on July 10th for a proper CD.

ill probably be still up from the night before, and ill be phoning around to trying bum a ride to the cd shop, haha, then ill have a party with my friends the next night, "i got the brand new pumpkins, lets get drunk"

I will visit my locally owned music store on tuesday, unless there is another place i can find that book/DVD whatever comes along with the album.

I do hate going into my local Wal-Mart, but it's open 24 hours. I don't know what their policy is on stocking new releases, but if they put it on the shelf around midnight, I just might go pick it up and drive around town all night with Zeitgeist cranked up. Otherwise, I'll wait outside Best Buy in the morning. Unless, of course, the issue of special editions makes me choose one store in particular.

How can you tell the difference between the different versions? I only get the simple "Zeitgeist cd" description when I look for it online..
I'm thinking about ordering it from www.cd-wow.com but it seems to be just a regular cd. No information regarding the 75 page booklet or the bonus dvd.

Yesterday I went on www.Bestbuy.com, and they have the cd with the book listed, so I think I'm going to do that... that means they will be selling that IN the store, right? Well, they have it listed at $20, and that's $5 cheaper than on Amazon.com...
