If my local Best Buy has both the DVD and book editions, I'll be getting both. Hopefully there's a combined one so I won't have to buy 2 CDs.

My best bet is to preorder it at the local Borders and pick it up the day of release. That way I won't have to wait for it any longer than I have to and I'll be sure to secure my copy.

Update 19-06-2007: the downloadable release of Zeitgeist on iTunes has an extra track also: Stellar. iTunes throws also 5 free covers of Pumpkins songs in the basket when the full album is pre-ordered now. Furthermore: it is possible for the hardcore Pumpkins collectors to get 5 different artwork colorschemes on Zeitgeist.

Red: standard release, widely available, releasedate IT 06-07-2007, US 10-07-2007, DE 09-07-2007
Green: only available at hmv.co.uk
Yellow: only available at 101cd.com
Blue: only available at iTunes, pre-releasedate 26-06-2007, releasedate 07-07-2007

Other special Zeitgeist releases to look for: on amazon.de an extra DVD is added to Zeitgeist, and in the UK you can order a very limited Zeitgeist inside a 72 page book (Avalanche Records Scotland is confirmed, stating "This is the very limited edition version that comes as a 7.5 x 5.5 inch 72 page paperback book. Release 9/7/2007". Also there seems to be a Zeitgeist release with a bonus CD, but that is yet to be confirmed (it could be the rumoured EP that is cancelled).

call me a traditionalist or old fashioned or whatever but i'll be going to the store the morning of the 10th. the music is the most important part, but I want the artwork....I want something tangible I can read and look at too. itunes is great and all, but I'll just import the songs to my ipod once I have the CD. I don't plan to camp out or anything, but I'll be going there early....I don't expect a big huge rush in this area...it's not going to sell out in the first half hour or anything.


I feel the exact same way. I need the actual cd; I don't buy songs off of iTunes. I want the booklet and lyrics and everything. And I'm going first thing in the morning of July 10.

I'm going to call my Barnes & Noble and tell them to reserve one for me so I don't have to rush. I'm like you guys. I NEED the CD. I did however tell my dad about it up for pre-order on iTunes and the ticket advantages and he was all "DUDE. PRE ORDER IT!!!" so I did. ._.

Ahhhhh. I dont know what to do.

The word is that the special edition with the booklet should be in most stores. That's the version I'm getting. I found that version on the Best Buy website, and that's where I'll probably get it.

if you plan on going to any of their US shows later in the year, I would preorder on itunes if I were you, even if you have to buy an additional copy in stores for the CD. from what I understand, those who do get first dibs on buying tickets.

im geting the itunes version, the normal one and i am gonna try to get a ride to my nearest best buy- i hope it will be there........and i PRAY that my brother will drive me. maybe my mom or dad. does anyone think samgoody will have it? the 75 page booklet version?

I have no clue about Sam Goody, but I know Best Buy has the booklet version... I saw it on their website.

i found sam goody's site and there is a 25 $ zeitgeist so im guessing that one is it

Yeah, that's also the price Amazon has for the booklet one. But when I was on Best Buy's site, they had it listed for only $20!! That almost sounds too low to me, but if it's true, Best Buy is the store that will get my business.

I'll be getting mine all online. I'll buy the average Cd, the one with the 72 page boolket & the one off iTunes cause I want to bonus track
