Did anyone else get an email from smashingpumpkins.com that said they're allowing fans to make their own versions of Tarantula and had a link to a zip file with the green screen footage? If you didn't here's the url of the file http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/tarantula/tarantula_clips.zip It's pretty big. I guess this is going to be some sort of contest  . It says that official rules and prizes will be announced soon. I wish I knew how to do green screen stuff.  |

there's another link.
I downloaded the green videos and they're hilarious. I was cracking up watching Billy and these two unknown people lip sync the whole song.
This is awesome though because now I get to make the video almost exactly as I want it to be, with the exception of the extras and the costumes.
Hopefully someone will post a link to some free editing software.

yeah got the same email -the file is 276MB i took about 2 hours to download with a fast connection
so many options - dont know where to begin - so much fun

i don't know jack about video editing, but i just think it's so cool that they're doing this. just another sign of how they are the coolest band out there today.

It only took me about 25 minutes to download. I guess I beat the internet traffic. I've got Sony Vegas, but I'm not sure if it has green screen capabilities.
