So I was listening to Blew Away and I was like man it sucks they'll probably never play this cuz it was written by james, I think. But then it got me thinking.... WASNT MAYONAISE WRITTEN BY James..... I heard he wrote it Billy just tweaked it??? If so will they not play it... Cuz Im like praying they'll play it when they come to dallas... If not i'll have to settle for ruby I am laughing out loud.

I dont think they would make the distinction between who wrote what, with regards to playing it live without the person, i mean, they did daydream without darcy.

They played a lot of songs during soundcheck that never made any of the sets. So, I don't know if they are planning on playing them live or not.

I realise that, but she pretty much made the song what it is, it fell flat on its face when billy did it. My point was that he has done the songs without the contributing member in this occasion so i dont see why he wouldnt with songs james wrote/sang on

it doesn't really matter who wrote what & whats being played,what matters is the fact that they are together again,& that they are touring,just thinking that i'll be lucky enough to see them in concert,makes me the happiest man alive ,lol.

AMAZING. I hope they start playing it again. I assumed that billy wasnt going to play songs that james helped write like soma and mayonaise, but realisticaly billy isnt the sort of person to back out of things because of what people might say.

Well no duh Im still excited lol. I mean there are many many great songs I want to hear. I got some good tickets to dallas And it will still be a badass concert without it. But with it would be legendary lol.Ruby would even be crazy too. But Ive seen he's playing starla... I would love to see that live.

Exactly, i think he just doesn't want to play it so far but i don't think is because James co-wrote the songs

I say do not fret if they dont play any james' songs...or partially written James' songs.. At least the pumpkins are playing at all.. be happy!

Funny that the whole Daydream issue came up, I actually preferred Billy's version from the Berlin acoustic show. It might have been the fact it was tuned down a semitone (nearly everything sounds nicer a half-step down! Except Today. That was already in Eb, why change it?).

Not to say I don't love the D'Arcy versions of course. And yes, Billy playing Daydream is different to Billy playing Blew Away, but not so different to playing Soma or Mayonaise. In my opinion.

It doesn't matter who wrote the song, you can play any song live as long as you don't record it and sell it. It's just the same as if they played a Doors song like they have in the past. If James gets pissed, Billy can just call it a cover song and it wont matter because it isn't being recorded.

The real issue is will he play it without James out of respect. There are key James guitar parts on Mayonaise that Billy would likely feel bad playing without him. My guess is this is why they haven't played Rocket with a full band yet.

On a sidenote, I don't care about Daydream, I just want Billy to play the hidden track after it. "I'm going crazy.. mothafucking crazy!" That's what he really needs to play...haha
