It sounds like they were pissed BC was getting more media attention then they were.

Im sure Manson dosent think Corgan's music sucks. He played with him before and in his book he talks about their frendship and going to the Private Parts premiere with Corgan and Jenna Jameson. Then hanging out afterwards, taking muscle relaxers and BC was wearing a yellow and black striped shirt and Manson called him Charlie Brown.

Reznor also let Limp Bizquick cover one of their songs. But he is right, they suck very very very much.

It seems to me like they envy other bands (I like both R.E.M and SP) because of their success.
If these two wouldn't waste so much time on posing (yes, I think that Manson's popularity is built on his image), rather on writing good songs (industrial music is boring and meaningless), then they wouldn't bitch about it.

Those industrial aspects are more or less emotional and not so dominant.
NIN is far to complexed and colourless music for me.
It's like like sitting in an empty bar with some whiny depressed guy.
I can't reach to him and he can't reach to me and those conversations never lead anywhere.

marilyn manson spends every over day slating other bands/music. Im sure every other thing ive seen/read from this guy has been him critisising some band or other, fair enough he's entiltled to his opinion but when thats all you ever here from him it looses its impact(and shock value/magazine papagraphs is why this guy says these things so much), er so he's an idiot, I am laughing out loud..

Oh and sorry FFXIIAngel man but those lyrics for 'Starfuckers Inc' if you take them as read literally seem to read a lot more as against recording artists 'selling' out and perhaps a loss of art to commericalism from bands (with crude six form punk band lyrics- there really bad-sorry just what I think). Its just a song but to mention BC and and REM (two of the 'good guys im sure we'd all agree) in relelation to the songs topic(IMO)is pretty off the mark from them, sure have a go at Limp Biskit or Fall out Boy but not REM for christs sake, I am laughing out loud..

Just be aware that that video was made seven years ago, and Manson and Reznor split again not long after that video made. Also I've read somewhere that Starfuckers was about the adulation of being caught up in yourself or something, so probably selling out. I've never really seen Reznor talk about a lot of other bands (except for the time he said Fred Durst could surf a piece of plywood up his ass). Manson on the other hand, is fighting with MCR instead of putting his energy into something worthwhile.
