is anyone having a hard time listening to any material before zeitgeist (being readily available) its really growing isn't it. it makes me wonder why his solo album isn't so catchy i don't quite get that,,

Pumpkins will be pumpkins! You cant beat that!!!, and for the listening of "pre-pumpkins", well what can i say, i still listen to them all. I love the way for each tour they have managed to invent the songs so differently. Their are so many different versions of the songs.

Agreed, SP demo tapes to BC solo, there's not much i don't like. Each musician SHOULD be expected to change with added influences or do some stuff people go wtf to, even me, i compose some stuff i go wtf's that? to, but i don't care, sometimes they're cool, sometimes you just don't worry about them. Change SHOULD be expected but how often do people NOT expect that and get a shock when their fav bands come out with something different? (Adore).

If anything, zeitgeist has made me appreciate the older material even more.
