What does everyone think of this? I mean, it's great collecting 3 b-sides, a new track, and a DVD...but couldn't that all be put together with a tour DVD Billy mentioned earlier this year, rather than in a "re-release" of an album that most, if not all Pumpkins fans will already have bought? Oh well, I guess it's only $10...

its just a inside zeitgeist documentary (on DVD), zeitgeist, with stellar, death from above, and ma belle! i am pretty excited

It's a load of bullshit that's what it is.

Always re releasing this, the first editions were bad enough and now this, why does it have to be bundled with Zeitgeist this is bull!

They should have released just a DVD, I mean seriously, only the hardcore fans are gonna buy this so why the fugg are they gonna want an album they already have.
In short, separate DVD (dependant on how good it is), Ma Belle released on either Tarantula or Thats the Way singles.

Im spending the ten bucks just to hear them cover ELO!

I dunno, after releasing three different versions of the album i nthe beginning, it seems a bit cheeky to re-release it with yet another bonus track. If they're gonna release new songs, they should at least make them available as b-sides, a lot more affordable (and fair) for the fans who already bought the album

I seem to recall Billy saying he likes to experiment on the fans, but he claims he's honest about it.

I'm going to wait and see what people think before I go get one, because already I've got three:
the (apparently not so) special edition
the itunes so I could get the pre-order concert tickets
and then I bought the Target edition for my friend, but he already had it.
I ought to have "Fool for Billy Corgan" tattoed on my head.

I never tought I'd say this, but I think all these different releases are just for the money. What should've been done is have one Zeitgeist CD, one B-Sides CD, and one DVD. I think, the Pumpkins are just gonna keep releasing new CDs that already have all the songs from the original version, and then just add one new song to get people to buy it.

I guess in a perfect world, I'd rather just have a DVD, and it may be way to boost overall sales, but I'll support them anyway and just be glad the DVD is out no matter what packaging it comes in.

Would be nice to get the Metro shows out finally though. . . .

I see no reason not to buy it, and I'm really looking forward to it. Regardless of whether it's your 1st, 4th or 15th copy of Zeitgeist, it's a 10 dollar DVD...be thankful for what your getting.

Trust me, the Pumpkins aren't out to get you, and this isn't a stunt to make more money. The way the album was promoted and released was all due to the record label. That's what a label is suppose to do, market the album in a way that sells the most copies (for them...not the artist). It's a business, and they don't have to cater to you individually. You can't fault them for doing their job.

If Siamese Dream was re-released with a DVD plus bonus tracks I think everyones opinion would change. Even if there was a few other releases before hand.

Just my opinion. BTW welcome back everyone.

Pistol Pete makes a good point, but let's remember: Zeitgeist was released not even four months ago. Reissuing Siamese Dream with a DVD would be a very different matter. I just think that the band is being set up for a critical mauling, what with the bonus track scandal still in public memory. I guess we'll see.

Site hasn't been up long, about a day or so.

The Pumpkins have always been mauled by critics, so there's nothing new there. The fans are quick to turn on them as well. Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

i dont see why people are complaining. the other pumpkins dvds are like 20 bucks, and this one is ten, plus it comes with a cd with a new song.....and hopefully new artwork, how are they gonna fit 15 songs on the american flag with only 13 stripes???????? im getting it tomorrow, as well as scrubs season 6!!!!
