that can be very serious, and it's good it's not drugs. jimmy wouldn't do that again.

I hope you get well soon JC.
This weekend is cursed. My friend and I were planning on going to the Dallas show but that didn't work out, so we were going to see Peter Hook at the Smart Bar and that got canceled also.

Hooray for rescheduling 1 Year, 2 Months ago

I guess I'll see you there, Sandoz. I'll be at the 11/15 show (most likely) and since it's on a Thursday my classes will be more flexible, plus I have no Friday classes. I might have to go solo though because my girlfriend won't be able to make it and I don't know any other SP fans.

I'm so glad to hear Jimmy's going to be okay, and that it's not drug-related. I think those rumors were completely unfounded and it's unfortunate people automatically assumed that was the reason behind his hospitalization. He's got a family, kids now. Yes, I know even family men can relapse but he seems utterly genuine about keeping clean. A user does't look as fit as he does these days.

to Sandoz...listen, I do understand the source of your frustration and why you're upset. you have every right to be upset. anybody in your situation would have every right to be upset. I don't think you're immature or whiny or bitchy or whatever.
that being said...the world is far from a perfect place. shit happens. shit that absolutely nobody has any control over. I've been a rabid fan just as long as you have, so I understand where you're coming from. but missing a concert is not the end of the world. there is plenty left to live for out there, and you'll get to see them some day.
to Believe....I don't think it's at all immature to suggest quitting her job. she went on and on about how she hated working at wal mart and I was just making the point that nobody should stay at a job they hate. being miserable with your work absolutely affects your health and if you're in a situation you hate you should do something to change it.
and I STILL don't understand why people on here seem to think that this band is out to get them. "the band wasted a day of my life in misery as I tried to get tickets to the NC shows and almost broke my computer." "the pumpkins hate their fans and are forcing them to buy several versions of their album." "the band is making me pay double to get the new DVD." "the band ruined my life by canceling the atlanta show." again, life fucking sucks sometime, but that's life. if you think any of this stuff happened on purpose you're full of it. get over it and live to face another day.
No dude this isnt gonna fly, U specificly told her to quit her job for a concert. Just face it - U should be wearing a zero shirt because u have ZERO compassion for anyone elses situation. Just because u went to see SP and they were actually at the show u feel like noone else can have a problem with the band because U HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE! Heaven forbid u had driven hours to the show and they werent there and maybe just maybe u wrote about it on this website - cuz then we could all just tell you to get the fuck over yourself as well! 1.) I never TOLD her to do anything.
2.) Even if I had, why the fuck would she listen to some random dude on an internet forum? I've never met her and don't expect her (or anybody else on here for that matter) to give a shit what I have to say. I will, however, contribute my OPINION when I feel like it. That's the point of a forum.
3.) I DO have compassion for her situation. I've said that several times on this very thread. It sucks. But you know what? life sucks. and if I had been in her exact situation, I'd seriously consider taking the route I suggested. I drove half a day to get to the Asheville show, and I would have flipped my lid too if the show had been cancelled.
4.) I don't expect EVERYBODY to love EVERYTHING the pumpkins do. I don't love everything they do.
5.) I don't need to "get the fuck over myself" because I really could care less if you, sandoz, or anybody likes the pumpkins or what they're doing. What other people think of the band I love means nothing to me. And if you have a problem with me because I like them, then whatever...YOU need to get over YOURself.

That was about the lamest "forum battle" I've ever seen. But yeah, I'm even more excited about this show than the one on the 30th. You just know Billy's going to make a comment.
