Anyway,
I don't know about you guys, But I miss Billy's old voice. You know? Especially from MCIS and Siamese Dream. There was something about his voice. For example, he would sing with more rasp and his voice would attentionaly crack sometimes. I thought it sounded really nice.

I don't know if he chooses not to do this, or if it's just because he's getting old but to me his voice just isn't the same.

I agree. Older producers (Flood) went more for emotion than perfect pitch. Also this was a recurring theme in a lot grunge/alternative music. It was the anyone can be a rock star mentality. It's a mixture of raw vocals, emotion and power that made the 90's special and not the overproduced music of today.

I bet it's at least in part due to the fact that he's gotten older and just can't do it the way he used to anymore.

He's also had singing lessons, don't forget that one.

I'm sure almost every Pumpkin fan misses his old voice. But I don't dwell on that, and choose to accept and love his voice today. It doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things, does it? He can still belt out great songs like Bullet, and his scream is as sweet as ever!!!!!!! Am I right? I have joygasms whenever he screams in concerts

i do miss it, but i listened to a live zero a couple of days ago from about a month ago and it gave me chills when he screamed.

Yeah, I find his voice to be the most disappointing thing about Zeitgiest. It went downhill after MCIS on studio albums, now his live singing also lacks passion.
I'm presuming it's age more than choice, and it's still better than most singers. Just a shame he can't rock out very much these days.

I like the old one's alot better, but after watching that new BWBW I think Billy Corgan might still have it. Cause there were some parts that sounded similar to the studio recording. He just needs to sing with more passion and I know I already but man I hope in his next album his voice cracks again.

I think the vocals on Zeitgeist are not good. Makes some songs less enjoyable. Live is a different story though.

I hope in their next album Billy's voice is similar to Siamese or MCIS era (yea, slim to nothing, I know).

Maybe someday Billy will catch a cold, and when it's cured he'll sing like he used to.

Ewwwww, I'd say the lyrics are one of Zeitgeist's weaknesses!

all i know is i love listening to zeitgeist before games (to get pumped up) songs like come on lets go, i love the lyrics and doomsday clock.
