The person who leaked QAOS and the Adore Demos II is at it again. This time a little more cryptic and making us work for, hinting that the first leaks were a taste of what's to come and that there were hints therein and we should look for them. I don't really understand much of this, but it seems there is a possibility for something big on the horizon.

I read the first post on that thread. It doesn't mean anything to me. I don't know what he's talking about. If anything lies at the end of this tunnel, is it merely more demos of never released songs that have terrible recording quality and half the instruments needed to make a good Pumpkins song?

it sounds as though there's more material from Machina that wasn't released...

I'm not playing this game. If he wants to leak something he'll do it. He just knows the ball is in his court, and he's making everyone jump through hoops to get it. It will come out sooner or later...hopefully.

Well, Machina is about this guy who tape records all this stuff off the radio, then, when he plays it back it's just random jabbering.

Seriously, though, this may be a good chance to brush up on Machina (even if it is kinda stupid, I don't like the idea of jumping through hoops for some mysterious person). People were speculating that the other demos were release via proxy, which could be quite a big possibility imagining how tight the security would be at the Library of Congress/Copyright. The story of Machina was never really focused on a lot from what I'm guessing, maybe it's so we can finally understand it and what the album's about. Meh...

I still have my archive of all the Machina stuff if anyone can't find it here. The animated episodes, interviews, trailers, the (almost) 7 shards of glass, etc.
And all the old websites that Pink Spyder was buying up.

Machina was meant to be a concept album with fan participation. As such, a community of fans called ghost children were given access to media via screenblast to create their own characters, videos, and fanfiction. A series of secret websites were revealed on the old offical SP board by an admin called Tigershorty. Each site had to be unlocked and we the fans were given clues to figure out the usernames and passwords. I was never one of the smart ones to figure it out, but it was fun.
Each website had fun stuff and messages. THIS WAS ALL OFFICIAL.

Billy wrote some stream of consciousness pieces called the shards and posted them on the official board. He also wrote pieces of a story, seven of them in all, but they were released out of sequence. And ultimately part 4 is unreleased.

A web toon was also in the works, only three episodes that we know of were made.

As for Pink Spyder, a year or two ago someone called Pink Spyder began buying up all the old secret websites. I'll have to check and see if anythings been done to them.

Oooo those are all quite interesting. Would have been nice if I had the internet around that time...

I've seen the webtoons though. All three of them are on Youtube for anyone whose interesting .

Oh man, I was ALL about that GATMOG game where you had to hit the right radio frequency trajectory to open - I think - the first cartoon. Too bad they were shiite (don't worry, I'm not being crass, Billy told me when I interviewed him in 2005 that he was really disappointed by how the cartoons turned out.)

He had pitched the idea of later turning the series into an anime but that fell through, as did his vision of creating a stage play based on the Glass characters.
