New blog from Jimmy suggest new studio recordings on the way.

Greetings, I hope these words find you all at peace.

First I'd like to thank everyone for their prayers and energy. It was well received and I'm feeling much better. The tour was a rock rampage and now we are back in the studio recording some songs for a possible release worldwide.

Look for these around the first of the year. Busy Bees !

Maybe they're recording the residency songs. Then they could release it with that DVD they've been working on.

I'm hoping they leave the residency songs where they belong...at the residencies. I wasn't too crazy about any of them.

Ginger and Jeff said in their blogs that they were at home resting with their families. So can we assume that they are not a part of these recording sessions??

I personaly would also like to hear a studio clean version of some of the other songs.

Just hope they dont record another 8 songs and release another 8 versions of Zeitgeist with one new song on each.

They didn't say there were going to do a studio version of Gossamer, they said they were going to use a live recording, which is probably already done.

It kinda annoys me if jeff and ginger wont get to record. Billy should give them some credit for all their hard work touring.

I doubt their next album will be made up of the residency songs, they might have one or something in there but I doubt they'd use them all.
I wouldn't mind hearing proper recordings of the residency songs though, I thought some of them were really good.

I wonder if they'll be recording an album, or just some "bonus tracks." The blog was very vague on that point.

What about them releasing a short EP with a few songs on it? It might not be an album, but it would have new material, and maybe even some old stuff; "Signal To Noise"?

Who knows, but it's exciting either way!

only song i would like from residencies is 99 floors, maybe superchrist. but that's awesome that they're going to release some songs beginning of the year. hopefully another single will come from it, just as popular as tarantula. it will probably be an ep.

I'm betting on an EP, which is cool because that's what I was hoping they'd do with some of these songs.

As per other posts in this thread I would doubt its going to be a full album worth, unless they throw us some live recordings as extras.

I hope its not a completely new sound...I dont think I could stand listening to R&B Billy
seriously I like the way they seemed to be taking the songs with the residency material though, to me they are more reminicent of the earlier days and seem to have a more accessable feel to them, (I even got my GF to admit 99 floors was a good song and she dont like pumpkins much )

My personal hopes for the new recording are for Gossamer (a good live recodring or studio) Plus 3 or 4 new songs in the same vain of the residency songs.
