This stinks for me because I don't have ITunes. I still enjoy and collect CDs. I guess I'm just left out? Perhaps I can wait a few weeks and download them from Limewire. I would have have bought the cd, oh well.

And I agree, There's nothing wrong with iTunes. I'm sick of people saying things like "Eeww, if it's on iTunes, I'm just gonna wait for it to be released somewhere else or I might not even get it at all." But after they say that, they secretly go and by a new album on iTunes.

I like iTunes, you can get whatever you want whenever you want.
If you here a song on the radio or something you like all you have to do is go on your computer and download it in 10 seconds and you have the song.

i must say i do feel happy when i am holding the CD and popping it in my cd player and dancing and looking at the linear notes on the way back in the car and flipping thru the pages.......it is better than itunes, but if its only on itunes i aint gonna complain

I hope it isn't iTunes exclusive. I don't mind if digital distribution is the future, just let me buy flac or ape or shn instead of m4a.

Lots of BS and not enough results. If you absolutely must download free music, I can send you a nice little application that's pretty reliable with no baggage whatsoever.

I have to say I'm very excited about this. Much like everyone else, I enjoy iTunes. I'm using it right now. I'm always using it. Never was there an easier way to rip CDs straight to your library or download and add to your library. Wonderful little invention. I'm ready to embrace the future. Now for the music...at the show in Atlanta, Billy performed The Rose March (I believe that was the opener actually) and it sounded great live, so I'm hoping it's as successful in the studio as it was there. My favorite of the residency songs has to be "Question Mark" or whatever the hell you want to call it. Solo acoustic Billy is a nice change, "Zeitgeist" is the most played song in my iTunes, along with "Death From Above. Can't wait...Billy's late Christmas gift to everyone.

i like itunes... i dont even use it... but it gets people into buying music, which is a good thing. lol

i just plan to burn these songs...

you guys are making me sad thinking about no more cds. no wait! i bet theres gonna be cd burners that could burn graphics on the cds, and awesome printers for the books, lol

I have to have physical copies of albums (be that Vinyl or Cd) because I love flicking through the booklets etc.

Its just not the same with an online image.

Does is probably an obvious question, but could someone tell me if iTunes songs will work on an mp3 player other than an iPod? I don't have an iPod myself or use iTunes, but my brother does and tells me the songs he downloads are iPod exclusive... I'm sure I sound like a complete noob for asking this :P

i think they are releasing physical copies but not in the u.s. regardless, i can't wait, when itunes reloads after midnight on the 2nd, i'll be buying

1.) CD's will never go away. people said casette tapes would be the end of vynil and you can still buy those.

2.) it BLOWS that this EP is only on itunes. I don't have an ipod, I don't want an ipod. downloading an invisible set of songs and a file of the "artwork" is L-A-M-E. not the same as going to a record store and getting a physical copy.

3.) I will never buy these songs on itunes. NEVER. I love the pumpkins and can't wait to hear these songs but I will not go buy an ipod just to get them. it's stupid.

Yeah, how do you do that? It's obviously easy converting mp3, mpeg etc. into AAC, that option is available on iTunes. but how do you convert AAC to mp3?

Since I don't support ITunes I will "borrow" them for limewire and make a burned cd with the song Zeitgeist on it. I might even make a super Zeitgiest record with 21 songs.

your not necessarily supporting itunes when you buy from them. they're going to survive no matter what and it's a 34/55 split (they get 34 cents while the band and it's label get 55 cents) Might as well support the pumpkins rather than downloading illegally.

HMM: My itunes software automatically asks me how I want it saved, so it converts to MP3 for me - it also asks you what level of compression you want with it (to save space if you need to).
Some of you may hate itunes, but for those of us technically challenged, it is an extremely easy way to download, upload, convert, etc and create playlists for various activities.

I'm pysched about the EP. Even though I was able to see Billy and gang 3 times over the summer, I didn't get to any of the residency shows, so I missed out on alot of original material.

Some radio hosts were talking about it in Denver where I live.
I was suprised they were talking about it considering that it's not a big release.
