Oh, gotchya.

I'm gonna wait till the 2nd to get these songs.
Right now I'm really low on money so I'm going to wait and see how much American Gothic is gonna cost compared to those four songs released on the Zeitgeist iTunes version.

Re:American Gothic EP 1 Year ago
"Again again, again" is the best song from SP2 so far...could have been a number one hit...brilliant, 100% Billy Corgan at his best..beautiful lovesongs lyrics and all that stuff, it's great, I love it!!!!!

"Pox" also sounds intersting...Billy says bad words....groovy melody

"Rose march" is kind of overproduced...I always thought, it's one of the lame songs they put out on residence

"Sunkissed" is strange but interesting...i should give it more listens...I haven't a proper opinion about it, yet!

The EP is much better than Shitgeist (thanks for that funny expression "Believe"!!!).
SP2 are on the right way...so far...

Waht do you think about "American Gothic", Ladies and Gentlemen???

Re:American Gothic EP 1 Year ago
I thought this was a great EP.

I was expecting it to be terrible, like...Billy sitting there with an acoustic guitar and Jimmy with a shaker.

But holy shit
It blew me away.

No way, Jimmy with a shaker !!!
It's not even full acoustic; isn't threre silent distortion in the background, anywhere???
Nevermind, I love it!

My order of the new songs: The Rose March, Sunkissed, Again, Again, Again, and Pox. (All are awesome though, very happy)

Once again the Pumpkins are damned if they do, damned if they don't. Maybe they should just stop releasing material all together, that way the collective you wouldn't have anything to bitch about.

...Bring on American Gothic, but fuck iTunes. I'll import the real EP.

Then go stick you Siamese Dream cassette in your 1980 Ford Pinto and drive it off a cliff because trust me, cd's will be gone in 2-3 years.

Jeffrey Zeitgeist wrote:

American retail doesn't typically carry EP's anyway.

Umm...yes they do. Bands release EP's all the time.

...Again, screw you. Thank you.

Thanks for that. Your opinion is invaluable. I never laid a single word against the Pumpkins, so don't decide my stance on the issue for me, please.

I have all the faith in the world that the copact disc will remain present (if not always necessarily strong) throughout my lifetime. It's already begun it's decline, I give you that, but who would think that contemporary artists are still releasing new material on vinyl? Format loyalty can get pretty intense, sometimes - my only hope is that people continue to see the compact disc for the superior format that it is (as opposed to the casette, which was more or less a step back in practicality and has nothing to do with this argument).

I refuse to make this silly transition until it's forced upon me. Until that day comes, however, I've got no problem importing a physical copy of this CD.

Re:American Gothic EP 1 Year ago
I enjoy it but nowhere near I anticipated it to be. This is somewhat of a disappointment and I feel that most of these songs are throw aways. "Again Again Again (The Crux)" is the catchiest but also repetitive. I'm also bummed it's only Billy and Jimmy. What the hell? They've attempted countless times to persuade us of this new band and refuse to let them record? That's lame.

I would have preferred a studio "Gossamer", an acoustic studio version of "God and Country", and maybe some other cuts from tour that sound better. "Pox" is ridiculous. It sounds like a Days of the New b-side.

Eh, I'll still wait 'til the band hits something gold again.
