What would you like to see get released the most?

the Metro dvd!

All of these would be amazing from reissuing albums, the sequel to vieuphoria and the metro DVD. I'm very curious though to find out if the the muzzle video ever existed.

The Metro DVD and the re-issued albums would be top of my list, but I still ahven't given up hope on Gossamer or the residency DVD coming (hopefully once the current album tour winds up and they have some time to work on a release)
The boxset of live recordings sounds mighty interesting as well...

While I would absolutely LOVE to see ALL of those released (except maybe the album re-issues...don't get me wrong, I'd love bonus tracks, but then I'd have to buy them all again), I don't think any of them will get released, at least not for a LONG time. The boxset of live recordings and the Metro DVD would be especially awesome. But, and this is probably me just being pessimistic, Billy seems to want to move "forward" with Billy, Jimmy & Friends rather than reference the old band...recording his own version of Daydream...and where DID James Iha's solo album go from iTunes (that's always striked me as suspicious...it USED to be on there...all Billy's stuff and the JC Complex are still on there...)? I think we could see a DVD of the residency shows, Gossamer, etc., and other stuff from the new band. I don't think Billy wants to release stuff from the old band though, unfortunately. But that's just my opinion.

I bet the residency DVD will happen. I agree that the older stuff is not likely to happen at this point.

Anything Zwan related will definitely not happen. He's dispelled time and again that even thinking of that era of his career angers him. Bummer, because Mary Star of the Sea was such a great pop album.

Doubt the Glass stuff will happen. Too expensive and time-consuming. Billy said he wanted to be more closely involved in whatever future Glass projects might evolve, but seeming that SP is touring a whole bunch, that's unlikely to happen anytime soon.

Give the guy a break, my friends. Think of how many unfinished projects you might have, everything from cleaning out your attic, to writing your memoirs, to calling your father you haven't seen in a year, to helping the homeless. We all have ambitions, some more than others, and no matter how much we "promise" ourselves and others that all will come to pass, chances are they won't all see the light. There's just not enough hours in a day.

The metro DVD would be amazing of course... wouldn't that currently be considered the holy grail of pumpkin...stuff?


Also, weren't there some recordings done in an old church somewhere with a limited audience? I can't remember..

A lot of people "deny" a lot of things.

The Metro DVD definitely. I'm pretty happy with the Zwan album we got. A residency DVD would be awesome though as well.

And yeah... I don't think a video was ever made of Muzzle, although it would've been cool if Muzzle made it as a single.

The way I see it
Sequel to vieuphoria could be The Metro DVD but I cant see them releasing what was known as the last show, now they are touring again.
It would be too much like wanting to go back to the old days.
Id be more inclined to bet on a new Zeitgeist era live DVD.

All together I'd say anything that is pre-zeitgeist is a none starter.

Keep in mind that not all of these things were "promised", per se, so much as projects that simply never came to fruition. Good question, though...

Honestly, I can't quite think of anything on there that I'd like to see more than the others. In my opinion, Zwan delivered it's "GOOD" album...While I'd love to read a novel written by Billy, I'd be heatbroken to see it booed by critics for what would surely be it's esoteric and convoluted riting style (have you read his blogs?)...the critics, for lack of a better word, would label it as "pretensious"...It wouldn't be, but still.

A reissue of all the albums, with bonus tracks, would be kind of useless. In this day and age, what could the band possibly use as bonus tracks on a pre-existing album? A rarity or b-side? I have all 8+ hours of the online-only Rarities and B-Sides album burned on CD...I'm happy with all of the albums as they are. They don't really need to be meddled with (with the exception of MCIS - remove "Take Me Down". Honestly, the song is god-awful).

ChicagoSongs would be great, if I lived in Chicago. I don't. I'd enjoy having it, anyway, but in my opinion Billy has better things to be doing than folk music.
