Ha, bet the thread title got you interested, huh?
Has anyone noticed that all of SP's main releases have a female of some description on the cover?
Gish - Photo of the band, which D'arcy features in
Siamese Dream - Photo of TWO (count em'!) little girls looking happy and cheery
MCIS - Picture of a lovely lady popping out of a star.
Adore - Photo of a Gothic-looking girl
MACHINA - It could be argued that one (or both) of the bodies lying in that sink thingy is a female.
Zeitgeist - Some people might think this one doesn't count, but I think it does since the Statue of Liberty is as much a Statue of a WOMAN as the MCIS cover is a painting of a woman.

hey, I never thought of it.
I dont know if it means anything but it was a cool thing to point out.
I think the MCIS album cover and artwork is the best.
Nothing beats it!

No it's not, and yes, it is a coincidence, because not many bands would have a female on even a few of their albums. Unless your band is called The Spice Girls or your name is Avril Lavigne or Shania Twain or something, but you get what I mean.

Well, Billy has always been innately in tune with the femininity of rock music (see his androgynous voice, the penchant for wearing man-dresses.) Though bombastic, SP's music and perspective has never been macho. And boy, do I thank them for that!

Haha, I like your justification for Gish.
But seriously, Girls are just gonna make better album covers; Its likely SP fans are majority male: judging from the gigs I've been to and it's gonna attract more people. + I think Billy just generally prefers them for covers.
Having said that, many of the singles have men on them; Zero EP, Ava adore (yeah, I've run out of examples), so I dont think its compulsive...

This morning when I was making my own playlist for my ultimate Zeitgeist album, I was thinking that maybe the artwork for Z could be re-done too... I thought it would look better if Z didn't have the statue in it, instead just the red sea/sky with the sun rising/setting.
Ava Adore's single is a man???

I personally think it's a coincidence and you're really over analyzing this. They probably just thought all of those were good choices for album covers.
But then again it's Billy.
