It was actually Uli Jon Roth and Rudolf Schenker (the Scorpions??). They joined the band for the encore. Apparently it was just one big jam fest, no vocals. Some reports say the set list had a few minor changes as well.

I completely agree...I always have said the rock AM ring version was the weakest version of gossamer they did. Uli's guitar work is technically impressive but it just clutters up the song. It kills me that he doesn't stop playing for the freaking drum SOLO!
