im not 100% but they were a smashing pumpkins side project with a different sound, and composed of different musician friends of the pumpkins and the pumpkins themselves, back in siamese times i think

The Starchildren was a side project of The Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan. They played several shows in the mid-1990's with constantly rotating band members. Billy Corgan was the only staple band member with the other positions in the band moving between Jimmy Chamberlain, D'arcy Wretzky, James Iha (all of The Smashing Pumpkins), Bob English, Mark Rew, Neil Jendon, Cliff Fox, Mary Magdalene, and Kerry Brown (D'arcy Wretzky's husband and drummer for Catherine.)

The Starchildren made one release which was a split 7" with Catherine entitled Delusions of Candor. They also contributed a cover of Joy Division's Isolation for a tribute album entitled Means to an End.

On this release, "Mr. Lemon" is credited as the writer and "Johnny Goat" is credited as producer. These are both pseudonyms used by Billy Corgan.

The Smashing Pumpkins also performed under the name The Starchildren several times for "surprise" gigs. - This is my favourite bit

Can someone please put up the songs? I would buy it if I had a record player (wasn't it only released on vinyl?) and if I could find a copy, but unfortunatley both of the things I mentioned are unlikely to happen.
