Zwan was great because Billy was back to just writing to write. he wasn't making a themed album like the Machinas and Adore, he was writing lyrics like ol'bill from the Gish,SD, MCIS times. Sad song or Happy song, Billy was jamming again.


Zwan(MSotS) was good because it was simply a new leaf for billy.

Zwan(live) was great because you had great musicians playing together, and loving it. and musicly it was pretty good, lyricly it was good too

Yeah and the reason why Untitled is thier worst single is because it sounds like Zwan....And when you speak of this themed album thing, I would think that Mellon Collie is just as much a theme as anything else. When you look through the library of music that the pumpkins have released over the years, I just see the music of Zwan to be uncomparible. I'm happy that the music of zwan isnt directly connected to the pumpkins, otherwise it would be their worst work. I think it was great that billy got away and tried something new, it was obviously something he need to do, but I'm glad Zwan has been laid to rest. RIP

Untitled sounds nothing like Zwan's material. It was just a result of true collaboration. The entire band put its talents together and created a wonderful song. Haven't you heard the interview before the last United Center show?

lol, zwan wasnt good, just honestly was the only good song, and that stole from almost every other good song of that genre. the girl had a good voice though...

Mellon Collie had no theme other than that is was very angsty written and the tracks were set to simulate the sequences of a day.

I'm not trying to change opinions, but give zwan it's credit.

Candy Came Calling, MSotS, Of a broken heart, Illinois, Friends as Lovers, Yeah!, Freedom, piano versions of Endless Summer, Chicks, Desire, How things are supposed to be, Spilled Milk, Down x3, My Life, Dust My Broom are some of the best songs Corgan has ever been a part of.

The Zwan live bootleg thing whatever it is, I didn't like that nearly as much as the MSotS but they still rock damnit !

I love . I'm listening to them now. I think the best songs on the album are "Lyric", "Settle Down", and "Honestly". It's definitley very different in comparison to the Pumpkins, not as angsty sounding.
