Hello there!
I would like to inquire as to whether any of you lovely people here have noticed an additional oddity inside the zeitgeist booklet... on the 9th and 10th inside pages there are photos of darcys p-bass from wheeey back, when it had those adorable rodent stickables on it. It may just be any old black bass with rattys on it but still! naughty cheeky bill 'n' Jim. The bass is sitting in a sweet silk lined casket along with the Siamese Dream red love heart and an arrangement of lilys!

I took as one or two things... One, that the old Smashing Pumpkins, the old band, is dead. Two, that D'arcy herself is dead. Both may be true, or neither. Perhaps the band bit is determined by perspective. D'arcy being alive or dead though, I am not sure about. As far as I know she hasn't been contacted for years. Who knows?

The Zeitgeist booklet is like an "I spy" of Pumpkins' hints and messages. Look again and you'll find some other odd things.

It is a bit catty, and although neither James or D'arcy dramatically contributed to the back catalogue, I just think its bad form really, the're only humans. Dear mr Corgan can be a bit of a lizard, denying and blaming, then denying the blaming and forgiving   If that makes any ridiculous sence, sorry  |

I never saw it.

Not that this is of any help whatsoever, I saw a couple of sec hand copys of the special edition zeitgeist at Real Groovey (local super cd store) MERE DAYS after they were released... looks like someone(or two)extended their hopes beond the reach of a picture book. But whoa hey! I've yet get a fair glance at the thing, so I don't think I should fume about it's silly seriousness yet!  |
