I was reading on AOL about the singer from Velvet Revolver being fired, and then they had this thing with a list of 20 bands breaking up, and there is like a paragraph about the Pumpkins. Its nothing big, but I thought I would share...

Wow, that article really paints a bad picture of Billy... I wouldn't say the Pumpkins had a really bitter breakup though. I always thought it was mostly a mutual thing with no major problems in the band.

Althoughit was wrong of im to blame for the breakup, and slag like that.

Yeah, just because they decided ahead of time that the Metro show would be their final show, I think a lot of people believe that they had a nice mutual agreement type of break up.

Pretty sure that's not the case.

I don't think they broke up on good terms either. Billy hasn't even spoken to James or Darcy since they left- thats almost 10 years now.

I'm glad that velvet revolver broke up, cause now Stone Temple Pilots are together. I hope it lasts too.. they have a history of breaking up on pretty bad terms.

Apparently there's rumors that Guns n Roses are getting back together, but without Slash.

The rumor is that Velvet Revolver didn't break up, they just fired Scott Weiland and they're getting a new singer.

Didn't James respond back to the whole "James Iha broke up The Smashing Pumpkins" by saying "No I didn't break up the band, only Billy could have done that." Or something to that degree?

yeah Chris needs SOMETHING to do now. I loved his first solo album, but the last one just did't do it for me.
