Well I certainly don't agree with yteah's assessment of the "game". . . I do think Billy has the right to have an "ego" - he did work his ass off and is very talented.

On allmusic.com it said that the Pumpkins signed onto Caroline for "indie cred". You probably woudn't know if it was just to get the album released or for "indie cred" unless you're one of the Pumpkins, so yteah wasn't that off base.
On the other hand, I don't think Siamese Dream is pop-ish at all.

For Fuck Sake ! This is because I locked the Ultra Rare trax thread, I locked it because I started it and was recieving argumentative comments towards myself, I didn't feel like having those comments directed at me so I locked it.
I AM NOT a mod, just because I personally locked a thread created by me DOES NOT mean that you can get any thread locked by purposely creating arguments!

I am not being argumentative but I genuinely believe that it was Jimmy who wanted to go off to rehab, but the band were so busy at the time, the Gish touring lasted so long and was so intense that the whole band were just knackered, by the time SD came along I would argue that things were a little better between James and Darcy but it was Billy who kept the band together, and yeah, he did do a lot of the work himself.
Incidently a guty once said, can't be bothered to research his name, but he said that Billy did about 80 90 % of the work on Gish !

Billy did do most of the work on that album
but I have to agree with the idea that jimmy probably didn't want to go into rehab...even if a drugee knows he has a problem, most of the time he wont go into rehab until something bad enough happens to shock him into it
