What was the first SP-song you got in, which one made you discover the band as a brilliant one???
It was "Zero" which I heard at the "Homerpalooza" Episode of Simpsons, it made me buy Mellon Collie.
But the first song I really, really adored was "Fuck you", I never heard such a desperate tension like this before...and later on, I discovered, that the silent songs on Mellon Collie also sound great, and I bought "Adore" as my second album.....

It was either "Zero" or "Bullet with Butterfly Wings", but "Disarm" really got me...

I put it on my iTunes from my Dads MCIS CD and listened to it a bunch of times. After a while I really dug it and wanted to hear more

The first time I really heard their music was from Adore, and it captivated my ears with every listen. So... I would say To Sheila.

Though, I remember watching the Tonight Tonight video, without knowing that it was the "same band", and I actually thought that it was some sort of Beatles video, like Yellow Submarine. I was in about fourth or fifth grade, mind you...

Tonight, TOnight. i was going to get ice cream with my baby sitter and it came on our local station and ever since then, its only been pumpkins. nothing else compares. the next day, my mom and i went and bought mellon collie and about three weeks later, gish and siamese dream.

SP's been a part of me for so long, it just seems like they were always, just...there. Although MCIS/Adore is when obsession set in.

The song that got me into the pumpkins was when i was listening to my mates copy of rotten apples as that was all we had back in the day (now i have almost everything).

im not sure of mine, the pumpkins were always around because my brother liked them, i just remember ZERO was what made me want to play guitar i thought the harmonics were really fast notes being played and when you look at the video james' hands look really cranked hard even though hes just playing the octave thing, that song was/is bad ass

I was given MCIS for my 13th birthday in '96, before which I hadn't heard of them. Muzzle was my favourite straight off the bat.

Me n Snail_Rocks were introduced to the world of the broken and decomposing vegetables at the same time in the same car on the same camping trip. 1979 was designated the official camping song and still is. In fact when i bought my first car yesterday (YAY!) 1979 was the first song i played on the stereo (had to christen it).

So for me 1979 was the song i first really got into ... although i think we had heard the first few songs until 1979 on Rotten Apples, we were talking too much to take notice then we went quiet for 1979 and it began from there

Siva was probably the song i got into the most though when i got Rotten Apples for myself, such a cool song and soo many good riffs that i had to work out
