Transluscent was played at the residency show I went to in Asheville. That's the oldest one I can think of...

At the show I saw in NZ, they played Crush and Drown. Not to many people knew them, they just wanted the hits...

I hate people like that. I only go to a concert if the headliner is band I'm completely familiar with. I'm not one of those people who just bought the greatest hits and just has to hear those songs live. Some singles are good at a show...just don't overdo it.
I've been to shows where bands have a big enough catalogue to vary each setlist and yet they insist on playing only the singles. Pisses me the hell off. I'm glad Billy's doing what he wants with the setlists and isn't conforming to what a casual SP fan wants. More power to him.

Agreed. I see a lot of bands releasing live gigs on CD, and the setlists just read like their greatest hits. At best you get a few album tracks, but never any b-sides. I love that the Pumpkins throw in all kinds of stuff - and play fantastic different versions of their songs. Sadly I've never actually seen them live, but from all the bootlegs I have I have no doubt they're the best live act out there.

I was at the infamous Nottingham gig and they played Drown. shame not many of the audience seemed to know the song. I think I heard one person ask if it was a new song...LOL

Oh boy, you know what was the coolest thing EVER, where I was, leaning up against the barriers, the people behind me were obviously there for the show, and Billy said something like "Okay we're gonna do a real old one in a minute"
so the people sitting behind me were yelling out "DROWN!!" and I was yelling with them. I felt like a bit opf a dork yelling for requests, but hey...
And then he played it! Haha, it was cool to be among those who knew their stuff. I just wish that I knew the lyrics better at the time.

I hate it when people yell out songs. I find it a bit rude. They already have the set list planned out so yelling out random songs will do no good.

Probably one of the reasons Nottingham got cut short. Some Dick kept shouting out "Disarm" every time there was a break inbetween songs.....I would have loved to have slapped him one.
Oh well.... at least they had already played Drown

Yeah, when I saw the Pumpkins in Adelaide they played a great set that catered to both the diehard fans and the casual listeners, playing a really well balanced mixture of hits and lesser known songs, yet after the show, most of the audiencee still booed and complained because they didn't play Disarm or Zero.
Anyway, more on topic, when I saw them live they played Crush and Drown, but yeah I think they have played a couple of other oldies since they started touring (i.e. Daydream and Translucent) but I think everything's been covered.
