Looks like it's official. From SP.com....

SP.com can finally tease some information about the upcoming DVD release by The Smashing Pumpkins.
The DVD is a documentary chronicling their 12 straight shows at the Fillmore in San Francisco in July and August of 2007.
The DVD will feature footage from those shows and more.
Expect to see the disc appear in stores before the end of the year.

So I'll echo what I said, I'm looking forward to hearing/seeing the residency songs at high quality at last.
I hope they put all the different songs on there, I'm sure they would.

I hate the way SP.com handles the news section. They didn't "tease" anything. We already knew all of this, now we just got a picture to go with it. Why post a news bulletin with no dates, no content, just a vague description of what Billy was saying in interviews two months ago?
Anyway, Fillmore only?? Booo. I hope they at least have an HD version.

And I really don't care for a "complete live show," with YouTube and the Pumpkins open source taping policy, a live DVD would be redundant. Just give me the behind the scenes shenanigans.

i would like to see that too. i wish there was something like another Vieuphoria, but longer w/ more backstage and "the making of..." type stuff. that would be cool.
