i havnt been reading anyones post so maybe this question has already been answered
but, is the whole thing going to be unreleased material or what?
like what type of songs might be on it?

do we know if it's new, or better quality of stuff we've already heard, or hasn't there been any news on it yet?

What is to be included on here, no one knows for sure but it should be noted that its release is expected to coincide with the Gish tour sometime in 2008...

they should release something this summer just to hold us over until the end of the year.

I'm sure this boxset will have nothing to do with Mashed Potatoes.

That boxset was a gift, and has songs from post-Gish eras.

I'd guess some of the Mashed potatoes tracks would end up on a future Siamese dream special edition. As already mentioned didnt Billy say he wanted to do a special edition of each of the previous albums? .....similar to what Robert Smith of the Cure is doing.

Do you really think we will get anything we havent heard before? I just think that the proper recording sessions wouldnt have been anywhere near as long as say MCIS.

In a word, yes. I think the SP library we know is just the tip of the iceberg...I bet there are hundreds of songs and ideas from the past 20 years that have never been released or leaked anywhere. I'd be surprised if there's NOT at least one totally new track on this thing.

what are th odds billy will sing with his original voice in the new single.
I keep looking forward to the new single as if he will but then I realize I'm just creating false hope

i don't mind the way he sings now. i would'nt mind if he sang the old way either though.

His "new voice" is kind too adapted.
I mean, in parts of Zeitgeist Billy's singing reminds me of cruel Cat Stevens!
He should sing with more power, emotion and anger once again (like he did on MCIS, for example)!
