Are there any old faves most pumpkinheads really like, but you can't stand for whatever reason? Are there any SP classics everyone sings the praises of, but you just can't see it due to some flaw genetic or otherwise or maybe better tastes than the rest of us?
Well spill it now.
Thread Rules:
No major Zeitgeist bashing. This is not the thread for that. This thread is for admitting you dislike Zero or 1979 or something else as shocking.
No dragging poor and his songs through the mud- we've all been there done that. Lets give the guy a rest.
So let the discussion begin.
(and yes, i was emoticon happy when i made this )

Today (because it's the only song that a lot of people know) Disarm (because of "PLAY DISARM!" freaks) Zero (I just can't get into it that much, it's a bit too repetitive) Tonight, Tonight (but only thanks to Panic at the Pissco. I thought I hated them for no apparant reason until they butchered that song)
Particularly this part: & as you winde on down the road, you're shadow smaller than you're sole, their walks a lady we all know, woh shone so bright and picks her nose, and if you listn quite hard, the moon will come to you so fast, when all for one and one for all, to be a rocket, not to bowl! That is SO FCKING DEEP!!!!!!!
A lot of Disarm, Today, and Tonight, Tonight lovers are just like that.
In the same way that many Led Zep fans can only praise Stairway to Heaven, many SP "fans" can only praise those three songs.
I don't like Stairway to Heaven as much as some people do for this reason either..

Panic At the Disco did a Tonight, Tonight cover? hmmm, didn't know that- glad i haven't heard it since they pretty much suck as a band and its wrong to think of them butchering an old fave of mine.

interesting Geek. i think a lot of music fans are that way. they only like the popular singles and haven't bothered to listen to anything different.
i still like all of those songs though, including Stairway to Heaven. but i like other stuff too.
i dislike Muzzle, Here Is No Why, and Glynis because they just kind of annoy me. i just don't like the sound. i also am not really into Silverf*ck, its too long and repetitive. and although i don't hate it, i'm a little sick of Rhinoceros. i think that is because people were going on about it too much a little while back with that youtube thing though.

Silverfuck used to be my very favourite song, there wasn't any other song better in my opinion. That came about when I saw the video that was on Vieuphoria.
It is still one of my very favourites, but I don't actually have a very favourite song, just a group of songs that I like more than the rest.
The only thing worse than PATD, FOB and MCR (the three most popular bands that people often refer to as "emo" are their fans.
They are collectively the most obnoxious people ever, and really should learn to accept that people have opinions.
They take criticism of the bands personally, as if you actually criticised the actual fan.

i can watch Silverfuck on Vieuphoria and even like the performance, but i can't listen to it on Earphoria. i think its ok if your watching them perform it, but listening to it- its just too repetitive.
the fans of those bands are annoying. i hate when you see one of those bands performing on tv and the pre-teen emos are all crying like its the most perfound thing they have ever seen or heard. i just want to tell them that its actually crap.
as for the last bit, some sp fans do that too, but maybe not as bad. i think we maybe just over analyze and criticize more on the whole. although SP fans are pretty loyal to their fave band still.

I dislike most of the mainstream singles, with the exception of Tonight, Tonight, Ava Adore and The Everlasting Gaze. Mainly because I've been subject to them soooooo many times over the years.
Note to Billy:
Enough with 1979 already! God they've played it every show since '95.
Not really a classic, but I really don’t care for Gossamer. I thought it was cool at first, but now I could do without it.

It looks like James didn't have his Wheaties that morning.
I think what's really hard is finding a popular song by The Smashing Pumpkins that you dislike because it's not a good song, and not necessarily because it's overplayed and annoying. As overplayed as "Today" and "Tonight, Tonight" are, I can still rock out to them.
One hit song that it took me a while to get into was "Disarm." I just used to think it was kind of boring and bland...although eventually I came around and I like it now. Just not enough to make an ass out of myself in front of Billy at a concert.
And, admittedly, I didn't love Machina when I first listened to it. Nor did I even really like it. A few tracks stood out, but for the most part, I found myself skipping around a lot. To this day I don't normally listen to it all the way through...I have to be in a certain kind of mood to appreciate it as a whole. Whereas, listening to "Stand Inside Your Love" or "I Of the Mourning" could be a bi-hourly event.
