I'm confused about the price. Is that for a floor "seat" or is that for upper level? Or somewhere between? That seating chart Pete posted would indicate there should be multiple prices. ($85 for floor and something less than that for an actual seat.)
I didn’t think of that. I can’t imagine floor tickets costing the same as upper level.
My guess is that they will only be selling the general admission floor tickets. The upper section is relatively small (730 seats), so I'm thinking they will not be used. If this is the case the show will have a capacity of 2,700 and not 3,200 (which includes the mezzanine and box seats).
This place is right in Chicago's back yard...I can't imagine them booking it and leaving 730 potential tickets unsold.

Not all the dates have been announced yet. But I would think California got their share with the Fillmore residency and various other dates during the Zeitgeist tour.

I was seriously thinking of going, but after I saw the price, I think not. The Pumpkins justification for this I am sure is that it is to weed out the casual fans, but I am sorry, I am huge Pumpkins and can't afford these tickets price. The Pumpkins were always about making things affordable for the fans, and now what?
The 2nd to last show at the United Center show was $35 and now they are asking fans to pay $85 to see them at a casino. I am guessing the 20th anniversary shows in November will be even more expensive, so I guess I will never see the Pumpkins ever again.
I am sick of the condescension my some people implying that you are a true fan if you not willing or able to pay $85 for a concert ticket.

I second that, I mean money should not be the the way to measure die hard fans or not. Some people just don't have that kind of money.
It's not just the tix after all, its the travel, the stay and on and on.
There has got to be a better way to do this.

let's go riot!

in a good way of course.
But we should really let our voices be heard on this. The band probably doesnt have a clue about how alot of people feel.

No one ever said if you don't pay $85 you're not a true fan. And it's ridiculous to think that's the case. Look at the other acts that are playing at The Venue the next couple weeks. They're all about the same price. So if you can afford it great...if you can't, no big deal. Catch em next time around. It's just a freaking concert.

i agree, right now everything costs so much, it is hard for everyone. i have a family to support, and a 5 year olds 6th birthday coming up. if i can get the extra money great, i will be extatic, cause i want to go really badly. but if not, it is just a concert like pistolpete said, i can probably catch one in november, or later in august. but priorities come first, and kiddies are that priority.
but i am hoping beyond hope that they get with the damn program and get us the other dates, like yesterday.
